Wedding Bands

I read in InStyle Weddings that Audrey Hepburn's wedding ring was an elegant and understate slim eternity band, channel-set with diamond baguettes. I'm not surprised, that definitely sounds like Audrey.

Just like Audrey Hepburn, your wedding ring should compliment your personality. Not only is it a visual and public representation of your love, commitment, and fidelity to your spouse. It also has to be a ring that you love. The price of the ring you choose to buy is all up to you and your budget. The price tag of the ring can either matter a whole lot to you or it won't matter at all! Whatever the cost of your ring, remember that it symbolizes your commitment and love. Affordable or expensive, what matters most is whether you love it.

It's not often you go shopping for your wedding band so here's what you'll need to know before you go shopping:

Plain Band
The plain band is simple and minimalistic. It can come in either yellow gold, white gold or platinum. They can also come in a rounded shape, appear flat or have a bevel (a knife-edge).
Eternity
This style wedding band often has channel-set diamonds all the way around the band. They can come in: round, emerald or princess cuts. The stones are usually very small which means that they can be an affordable option.

Openwork Band
This style wedding band features patterned designs and sparkle. They are usually covered all over with diamonds and can be quite pricey. As you can see from the pics below, they are fairly wide wedding bands.

Engraved Band
The engraved band is such a lovely and affordable alternative. Initials or meaningful sayings can be engraved on the outside or on the inside of rings to be cherished for ever. If you have a limited budget or something to sweet to say you should definitely check this style out.
